Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data caswebdesign.com collects, what it's used for, and who it's shared with. It's written to be understood, not to hide anything in fine print.

Who I am

I'm Carlos Andrés Mejías Mieses, a sole proprietor doing business as Cas Web Design, based in Puerto Rico. I'm not a corporation and I have no employees: the person receiving your data and answering your messages is me.

What data I collect

What you send me

The contact form asks for: name, phone, email (optional), which service you're interested in, approximate budget, your current website if you have one, and whatever you want to tell me about your business.

This form doesn't store anything on any server. There's no database behind it. What it does is assemble a message from what you typed and open WhatsApp so you can hit send. If you don't hit send, that information goes nowhere. If you do, it reaches my WhatsApp like any other message.

The same applies if you message me directly on WhatsApp, call me, or email me: I keep that conversation on my phone or in my inbox, the way anyone keeps their messages.

What's collected automatically

Simply by loading this page in your browser, some third-party services receive technical data about you:

  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram) — the site has the Meta pixel installed. It records that you visited and which pages you viewed, and associates that with your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. I use it to measure whether my ads work and to show ads to people who already visited the site.
  • Google Fonts — the site's typefaces load from Google's servers, which receive your IP address in the process.
  • Hostinger — the company hosting this site. Their server keeps normal technical access logs: IP address, browser, date and time.
  • Stripe — only if you pay for a change or a subscription from the changes and maintenance page. Payment is processed entirely by Stripe; I never see or store your card number.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy and its own controls. The site itself sets no cookies beyond whatever the Meta pixel sets.

What I use your data for

  • To answer you and quote what you asked about.
  • To follow up if we agreed on something and I haven't heard back.
  • To measure which ads and which pages work, and improve the site.

I don't sell your data. I don't rent it. I don't hand it to third-party mailing lists or to anyone who pays me for it.

How long I keep it

WhatsApp and email conversations stay on my phone and in my inbox as long as there's a working relationship or an open conversation. If you ask me to delete them, I delete them.

Your rights

You can ask me at any time to tell you what information of yours I have, to correct it, or to delete it. Email info@caswebdesign.com and I'll answer within 24 hours, same as everything else.

For what Meta collects through the pixel, the controls are on their side: you can adjust it from your Facebook or Instagram ad settings, or block tracking from your own browser.

Minors

This site is for business owners. It isn't directed at children under 13 and I don't knowingly collect information from minors.

Other people's sites

The portfolio links to client sites that are live. Once you leave caswebdesign.com, this policy no longer applies — each site has its own.

If this changes

If I change anything meaningful in this policy, I also change the date above. The published version is the one that applies.
